I've always considered "Poster Design" as public art. During the history posters have always been the paintings of the people, hanging on the walls of a museum called "Street", is a kind of art that can be considered as the "Street Art" old style.
Personally, the "Poster Design" remains one of the most creative ways to express an advertisement, where a designer can to indulge his whims and somehow give it always a touch of their own style.
The "Monkey Mafia" is a commercial project of "Ironic Design" illustration, represented by a style of drawing a little childish but outrageous, offensive but naive, could be described as well as a "London Urban Ironic Protest" this brand sells this kind design by T-Shirt and Poster, the ecomerce is under-construction at the moment, but by June 2013 will be possible to purchase posters like these online.
In 2009, along with other charts we decided to promote an artistic initiative, called "Are you sure?", the idea was to create basic
shapes of signs that could form the variable compositions, where the eye of the observer could pick up different images at the same time,
after being attacked in the streets, we decided to increase the curiosity posters leaving without explanation, but with a question instead
"Are you sure of what you see?".
The images on the side are my contribution to this successful performance.
As already explained in the section of Logos & Brands "Va de Retro" is a Design for a shop that sells Vintage and Nu'Retro Objects and Furniture, among the applications of the brand I decided to create a series of posters inspired by three great icons of the 70's, 80's and 90's.
